Siddha Kunjika Stotram
This great prayer is chanted before the reading of Chandi path / Sapthasathi (known as Devi Mahathmya) in the northern parts of India. It is more thanthric in nature and has been taught by Lord Shiva to Goddess Parvathi. Devotees believe that just a recitation of Sidha Kunjika stotram is equivalent to recitation of the complete Chandi(Devi Mahatmyam) and also that the reading of Chandi Path (Devi Mahatmya) would not give complete results without reading Sidha Kunjika stotram before it.
Story of Siddha Kunjika Stotram:
According to the ancient Vedic story, this Kunjika Stotram came into existence when Lord Shiva was talking to Goddess Parvati.
Lord Shiva said “Listen, O Devi, Let me tell you about a great prayer, Kunjika Stotram”
“O Parvati, this is a very secret prayer and it should be kept a secret”
“There is no need to recite Kavacham , Argalam , Kilakam and the Rahasya thrayam, And is it not necessary to recite Suktham , Dhyanam , Nyasam and also no need to worship“.
By reading the Siddha Kunjika Stotram, one gets the benefits of reading chandi, it is so secretive that even the devas don’t know about it.
The one who chants the Siddha Kunjika Stotram, gets blessed by “Aim”- the creator, “Hreem” -the one who takes care of and “Kleem” – the one who has passion.

This prayer is the reason for awakening and keep it protected and secret from those who are not devotees.

1.Srunu devi pravakshyami Kunjika stotram uthamam,
Yena matra prabhavena chandi Japa Shubho Bhaveth
Meaning:
Oh Parvathi please hear the great prayer called Kunjika,
By recitation of which , the recitation of Devi Mahatmya(Chandi)
Would become more powerful/auspicious.2.Na kavacham, Na argali stotram , kilakam , na rahasykam,
Na sooktham Napi dhyanam cha na nyaso na cha varchanam.
Meaning:
There is no need to recite Kavacham , Argalam , Kilakam and the Rahasya thrayam,
Nor is it necessary to recite Suktham , Dhyanam , Nyasam and also no need to worship.
(These are preliminary stotras that need to be recited before reading of Devi Mahatmyam/Chandi/Durga Sapthasathi. Here is it told that if this kunjika stotram is recited then there is no need to recite all these)
3.Kunjika pata mathrena Durga phalam Labheth,
Athi Guhyataram devi, Devanam abhi durlabham.
Meaning:
Just by reading Kunjika , we would get the effect of reading Chandi,
And Oh Goddess this is a great secret and even Devas do not know it.
4.Gopaneeyam prayathnena swayoniriva Parvathi,
Maranam, Mohanam Vasyam Sthambho ucchadanadhikam.
Pata Mathrena sam sidhayeth Kunjika stotram uthamam.
Meaning:
Oh Parvathi , you decide about the effort to keep it as secret
Because just by reading this great prayer on Kunjika , we can easily achieve,
Murder , attraction , slavery , making things motionless by repeated chants,

( This is a Thanthric chant (Beejaksharas) which consists of sounds and words which are meant to please the Goddess. “Jwalaya” means “Burn” , “Prajwala” Means “set fire.”)

Salutations to her who is angry , Salutations to the killer of Madhu,

7.Namasthe Shumbha hanthryai cha Nishumbhasura Gathini ,
Jagratham hi Maha devi , japam Sidham kurushwa may.
Meaning:
Salutations to the killer of Shumba and the killer of Nishumbha,
Oh Great goddess , please safely give me expertise of chanting this.
8.Aimkari srushti roopayai hreem kari prathi palika,
Kleemkari Kama Roopinyai , bheeja roope namosthuthe,
Meaning:
Salutations to the Goddess who has the form of root chants,
Who by the chant “Aim” has the form of the creator,
Who by the chant “Hreem” has the form of one who takes care of,
And who by the Chant “Kleem” has the form of passion(Desire)
9.Chamunda chanda gathi cha yaikari Varadhayini,
Viche cha abhayadha nithyam namasthe Manthra roopini.
Meaning:
Salutations to goddess who has the form made of Chants,
To the Chamunda who is the killer of Chanda ,
Who by chanting “Ai” grants boons,
And by Chanting “Viche”, grants protection daily.

Meaning:
Those who read Sapthasathi without this prayer of Kunjika ,
Would not reach the forest of perfection as it would be like a wail there.

న కవచం నార్గలాస్తోత్రం కీలకం న రహస్యకం ।

सिद्ध कुञ्जिका स्तोत्रम्
ॐ अस्य श्रीकुञ्जिकास्तोत्रमन्त्रस्य सदाशिव ऋषिः, अनुष्टुप् छन्दः,
श्रीत्रिगुणात्मिका देवता, ॐ ऐं बीजं, ॐ ह्रीं शक्तिः, ॐ क्लीं कीलकम्,
मम सर्वाभीष्टसिद्ध्यर्थे जपे विनियोगः ।
शिव उवाच
शृणु देवि प्रवक्ष्यामि कुञ्जिकास्तोत्रमुत्तमम् ।
येन मन्त्रप्रभावेण चण्डीजापः शुभो भवेत् ॥ 1 ॥
न कवचं नार्गलास्तोत्रं कीलकं न रहस्यकम् ।

नमस्ते रुद्ररूपिण्यै नमस्ते मधुमर्दिनि ।

जाग्रतं हि महादेवि जपं सिद्धं कुरुष्व मे ॥ 7 ॥

अं कं चं टं तं पं यं शं वीं दुं ऐं वीं हं क्षं ।
धिजाग्रं धिजाग्रं त्रोटय त्रोटय दीप्तं कुरु कुरु स्वाहा ॥ 12 ॥
पां पीं पूं पार्वती पूर्णा खां खीं खूं खेचरी तथा ।
सां सीं सूं सप्तशती देव्या मन्त्रसिद्धिं कुरुष्व मे ॥ 13 ॥
कुञ्जिकायै नमो नमः ।
इदं तु कुञ्जिकास्तोत्रं मन्त्रजागर्तिहेतवे ।
अभक्ते नैव दातव्यं गोपितं रक्ष पार्वति ॥ 14 ॥
यस्तु कुञ्जिकया देवि हीनां सप्तशतीं पठेत् ।
न तस्य जायते सिद्धिररण्ये रोदनं यथा ॥ 15 ॥
इति श्रीरुद्रयामले गौरीतन्त्रे शिवपार्वतीसंवादे कुञ्जिकास्तोत्रं सम्पूर्णम् ।
सिद्ध कुंजिका स्त्रोत का अर्थ:
शिव जी ने कहा: देवी ! सुनिए ! मैं अति उत्तम कुंजिका स्तोत्र का उपदेश देता हूँ, जिसके प्रभाव से चंडी जाप सफल होता है। कवच, अर्गला, कीलक, रहस्य, सूक्त, ध्यान, न्यास और अर्चन भी आवश्यक नहीं है। केवल कुंजिका स्तोत्र के पाठ मात्र से ही दुर्गा पाठ का फल प्राप्त हो जाता है। कुंजिका अत्यंत गुप्त है और सभी देवताओं के लिए भी यह परम दुर्लभ है। हे देवी पार्वती ! इस स्तोत्र को स्वयं की योनि की भांति प्रयत्नपूर्वक गुप्त रखना चाहिए। इस उत्तम सिद्ध कुंजिका स्तोत्र पाठ मात्र के द्वारा ही मारण, मोहन, वशीकरण, स्तंभन और उच्चाटन जैसे सभी कार्य सिद्ध कर देता है। इसके बाद मंत्र दिया है जिसमें विभिन्न प्रकार के बीज है अर्थात बीज मंत्र है जिनका केवल जाप करना ही पर्याप्त माना जाता है। हे रूद्ररूपिणी ! आपको नमस्कार है ! हे मधु देखने को मृत्यु देने वाली ! आपको नमस्कार है ! कैटभविनाशिनी को नमस्कार है ! महिषासुर को मारने वाली देवी ! आपको नमस्कार है !
शुम्भ का हनन करने वाली और निशुंभ को मारने वाली देवी ! आपको नमस्कार है ! हे महादेवी ! मेरे जब को जागृत और सिद्ध कीजिए ! ऐंकार के रूप में सृष्टिरूपिणी, ह्रीं के रूप में सृष्टि का पालन करने वाली ! क्लीं के रूप में कामरूपिणी तथा अखिल ब्रह्मांड की बीजरूपिणी देवी! आपको नमस्कार है ! चामुंडा के रूप में चण्डविनाशिनी और यैकार के रूप में आप वर देने वाली हो ! विच्चै के रूप में आप नित्य ही अभय देने वाली हो ! (इस प्रकार आप ॐ ऐं ह्रीं क्लीं चामुण्डायै विच्चे) आप इस मंत्र का स्वरुप हो ! धां धीं धूं के रूप में धूर्जटी अर्थात शिव की आप पत्नी हो ! वां वीं वूं के रूप में आप वाणी की अधीश्वरी हो ! क्रां क्रीं क्रूं के रूप में आप कालिका देवी हो ! शां शीं शूं के रूप में आप मेरा शुभ (कल्याण) कीजिए ! हुं हुं हुंकार स्वरूपिणी, जं जं जम्भनादिनी, भ्रां भ्रीं भ्रौं के रूप में हे भैरवी भद्रे भवानी ! आपको बार-बार प्रणाम है ! “अं कं चं टं तं पं यं शं वीं दुं ऐं वीं हं क्षं धिजाग्रं धिजाग्रं”इन सभी को तोड़ो और दीप्त करो करो स्वाहा ! पां पीं पूं के रूप में आप पार्वती पूर्णा हो ! खांसी में खून के रूप में आप खेचरी हो ! सां सीं सूं स्वरूपिणी सप्तशती देवी के मंत्र को मेरे लिए सिद्ध कीजिए ! यह कुंजिका स्तोत्र मंत्र को जगाने के लिए ही है ! इसे किसी ऐसे व्यक्ति को नहीं देना चाहिए जो भक्ति हीन हो ! हे पार्वती ! इसको गुप्त रखिए ! हे देवी ! जो बिना कुंजिका के सप्तशती का पाठ करता है उसे ठीक उसी प्रकार कोई सिद्धि प्राप्त नहीं होती जिस प्रकार किसी वन में रोना निरर्थक साबित होता है ! इस प्रकार रुद्रयामल के गौरी तंत्र के अंतर्गत शिव पार्वती संवाद में कुंजिका स्तोत्र संपूर्ण हुआ।
